Dale and I worked together along with postmaster Ed Ross at the Earlton Post Office for many years. It was like a small family. If it was somebody’s birthday, a cake was presented.
I left the Earlton Post Office and went on to become postmaster at the Climax Post Office. Unfortunately, I lost track of Dale and in the past year I located him and had a wonderful visit with him and his lovely beautiful wife Kim. I know they had many rides on their motorcycles together across the country. Dale always managed to have a smile on his face. He was such a good natured person. I am lucky to have known him.

Dale Haines has always been a household name. We have fond memories picking fresh apples and getting fresh milk from the Haines Farm. Dale was always ready to share a laugh and funny stories. My Dad and Dale would laugh until they ran out of oxygen. Fast forward 25 years or so, Kimmy and Dale took a special liking to my oldest son Bubba. Dale helped water Bubba's farming seeds and Kimmy spent countless hours playing "Post Office" with him. The laughs were just as contagious. Dale always said " There's something about Bubba, he has this look in his eyes, the wheels are always rolling, always thinking. Bubba's going places in life". Dale Haines you were 100% right. Thank you for spending countless hours with Bub, the fresh milk, apples, laughs, good times, stories and memories. Say hi to Old Jim & Katherine for us . May God bless you my friend on the next journey.
