Obituary of Lenda Carolyn Lyman

GREENVILLE – Lenda Carolyn Lyman, 73, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 in the Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital.

Lenda grew up in Castleton with her grandparents Loretta and William Barber.  She graduated from Maple Hill High School and the State University of New York at New Paltz.  Her diverse career included managing a Cumberland Farms store, working at Colonie Motors, USV TV station, 25 years as an Administrative Assistant at RPI, and as a customer service clerk at Topps Market in Greenville.  In addition, she volunteered at the Albany Veteran’s Hospital.

 

Lenda was a member of the Church of Latter-Day Saints in Greenville.  The missionaries’ visits were greatly welcomed. 

 

Lenda was a loving wife to her husband, Art, and she was a wonderful mother to her four children.  She enjoyed gardening, reading, watching sports, trying new foods with Art, going to the ocean, craft fairs, flea markets, and more reading!

         

Lenda is survived by her husband, Arthur J. Lyman; daughters, Reagan Leonard, Brie Leonard, and Kendra (Israel Smith) Barber; son, Micheal (Terri) Leonard; grandchildren, Lilia, Jonesy, Jimmy, Alex, and Soreya; sisters, Vicky and Kim; brother-in-law, John (Patricia) Webb ; sisters-in-law, Dorothy (Bryan) LaQuire, Anne (Michael) Currey, Irene (Bob) VanWie, and Carol (Bill) Schreiweis; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Along with her beloved Uncles, Aunts, and Cousins.

         

Lenda has been cremated privately.  The family asks that if anyone can volunteer at a Hospice, it would be appreciated. Condolence page is available at ajcunninghamfh.com.
